Proper ethical conduct mandates that a Forensic Examiner has an equal responsibility to both the insured/defendant as well as to the insurance company/law enforcement. This obligation dictates that the physical examination and analysis of parts, components or evidence be performed with no outside influences or considerations and the conclusions be based solely upon the facts.



Miscellaneous Information


A Forensic Examination, as defined by The American College of Forensic Examiners, “refers to a professional who performs an orderly analysis, investigation, inquiry, test, inspection or examination in an attempt to obtain the truth and form an expert opinion”.

Science, according to the Longman Dictionary of The American Language is defined as “knowledge that is based on testing and proving facts” and “study that produces knowledge”.  

Scientific is defined as (1) “relating to science or using its methods”, (2) “Done very carefully, using an organized system”.

North American West Automotive Forensic Examiners utilizes scientific procedures in determining conclusions and the Forensic reports are scientific reports that are organized, orderly, and concise with examination procedures clearly noted and results detailed in every report.
